Our Future | Future Of Mars | Future on Mars | Who Wants Mars? : Research And Colonization Of Mars
A few days
back SpaceX and NASA combined to launch humans to space. SpaceX plans to make
space travel easier and colonize Mars. Many missions are planned to research
mars and countries compete with each other to keep their footprint on Mars.
History of Mars
is keenly observed and chances remain for life.
Did you
know?
- In Mars, your weight will be 38, if you weigh 100Kg on earth.
- Mars is the only habitable planet in the habitable ring.
- Mars research initiated many space research program.
- Mars is populated by robots.
- Sun appears to be half the size on Mars than on Earth.
- One of the Mars project hopes to colonize the Red Planet.
Who Wants
Mars?
SpaceX/
Elon Musk - SpaceX has Successfully demonstrated on the reusable rockets and in
the next step to make a bigger rocket. In the recent launch, SpaceX demonstrated
for the second time with humans to reach the International Space Station. (ISS).
By 2024, SpaceX can colonize Mars
Mars one -
Mars one project is one of the controversial project which let a group of people
to Mars and leave them there. The crew is getting for the launch in 2031. Nine
years after the initial schedule. It has the idea to send infrastructure to
Mars, then humans. Thousand of people registered for the mission to
self-sustain in Mars.
NASA - NASA
is one of the large space research organizations testing various launch
systems. NASA is currently working on the Space Launch System(SLS), which is capable
of propelling humans to Mars. Officially, NASA is looking forward to putting
humans in low Mars orbit in the 2030s
In the year
2012 Dec, curiosity mission to land a rover to carry out experiments on Mars
and find the suitable habitats.
This rover will carry out the experiments like
Biological
experiments - Investigate organic Compounds, chemical building blocks
Geological
experiments - Investigate minerals composition martian surface and formation of
rocks on the Martian surface.
Surface
radiation - Investigate on the spectrum of suface radiaton, radiation from sun,
and collect data for future crew missions.
China place
its orbiter in November 2011 and which was a failed mission.
In the year
2013, the Indian Space Research Organisation’s mission called Mars Orbiter
Mission(Mangalayan) successfully placed in orbit and it is in operational
condition.
In the year 2018, NASA Placed its lander on Mars Surface in the mission InSight, and which is in operational condition. The curiosity is also known as Mars Science Laboratory.
The race
between countries and different organisation takes place to reach Mars but this
would could take at least a decade to succeed. Let us wait for the history to
be made.
