Internet Knows More About You Than Yourself | Internet Technology | Smarter Devices : Internet of Things (IoT)
In the
technology race, everyone is connected. Internet leads an important role in the
technology race, without internet life is impossible. As humans are becoming
smart, the device we are using also becoming smart. The smart devices know you
better than what you know about yourself.
Internet of Things(IoT), is the interconnected systems, intelligent devices, mechanical and
digital machines, and devices are provided with a unique code to communicate
and transfer data over a network without human interaction.
Internet of
Things are widespread in areas like machine learning, embedded system. And traditional
fields like wireless sensors, automation(home and building), and many others. Some
common systems that we are using in everyday routine like smartphones and smart
speakers.
The growth
of IoT is enormous, but the security and privacy are a big question mark.
The idea of
the Internet of Things was discussed in the early 1980s by modifying the
Coco-Cola vending machine, which became the first machine to report to interconnected
networks about the inventory.
In the
early 90s, many companies came forward to automate and integrate every device to
see and use in daily life, as well as in industry. Some companies like
Microsoft or Novell.
The key
part of the Internet of Things is MOSFET(Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor-Field-Effect-Transistor).
The transistor which is a type of Insulated-Gate-Field-Effect-Transistor(IGFET)
that are manufactured under controlled oxidation of a semiconductor(silicon).
The modern
device which uses the above transistor in it like computer, smartphones,
tablets, and internet.
Internet of Things: Characteristics
The growth
of the Internet of Things is rapid and controlled by the internet. The basic application
of IoT is different in various devices and execute different characteristics
Internet of
Things provides a direct connection of the physical world with the internet
world.
This improvement
of IoT doesn’t require human effort.
